Job Description
We are looking for a Student Nurse Extern to provide direct personal support to patients in our Alternative Level of Care (ALC) facility. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses and will be responsible for basic care needs of up to 10 patients.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in years 2-4 of a nursing program of studies
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to accurately and effectively communicate with the inter-professional healthcare team members
- Demonstrates understanding of the use of technology
- Ability to provide basic assistive care with frequent supervision and ongoing mentoring from a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse
