Student Nurse Extern - Alternative Level of Care (Finch Reactivation Care Centre)

Humber River Health is seeking a Student Nurse Extern to work at the Alternative Level of Care (ALC) facility. The student nurse extern will provide direct personal support to patients and work under the supervision of registered nurses and practical nurses. The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in a nursing program and have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in years 2-4 of a nursing program of studies
• Current CPR certification
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Team player with ability to work with others
• Ability to accurately and effectively communicate with inter-professional healthcare team members
• Understanding of technology
• Ability to provide basic assistive care with frequent supervision
• Mandatory compliance with HRH training- Privacy & Confidentiality requirements, WHMIS, Fire & Safety, hand hygiene modules
