Intellectual Property Counsel

Huntsman is seeking an Intellectual Property Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support related to intellectual property matters across Huntsman’s Business Divisions and Functional Departments. The role is responsible for protecting and leveraging Huntsman’s intellectual property assets while delivering pragmatic, business-focused legal advice aligned with commercial objectives.

Requirements

• Provide comprehensive intellectual property legal services to assigned Business Divisions and Functional Departments.
• Draft, file, and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on IP-related agreements, letters, forms, and other legal documents.
• Assess and advise on third-party intellectual property risks, liabilities, and legal restrictions, including preparing freedom-to-operate opinions.
• Evaluate and advise on potential infringement of Huntsman’s IP rights by third parties and support IP-related litigation and dispute resolution.
• Manage and coordinate outside legal counsel as needed.
• Promote compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Huntsman policies and procedures.
• Complete required company training and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
