As an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you will oversee the food and beverage areas within the hotel, specifically with the Banquet department, and provide authentic and memorable experiences that deliver the Southern California Dream to our guests.
Requirements
- Scheduling, forecasting and training
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures
- Coordinating special events at the hotel
- Performing payroll duties for the department
- Supporting the efficient running of the banquet and outlets in line with department strategies and brand standards
- Managing the assigned outlet as a successful profit center in line with the outlet's operating concept and OBR standards
- Providing warm, humble and knowledgeable service throughout the property
- Liaising with restaurant and outlet operations staff to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Assisting with the curation of the guest's experience both on and off property
- Attending daily briefings and relevant departmental meetings
- Creating a culture that encourages staff to grow
- Supporting service teams
- Preparing all required paperwork including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner
- Ensuring consistent, thorough, and timely communication to peers, managers, guests, and vendors
- Continually striving to provide opportunities to advance the education and development of staff as it relates to food, wine, and service
- Understanding and complying with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations/ordinances that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements
- Connecting with the Culinary & Stewarding team as needed to ensure food and dining ware is up to standards and ready for the event
