ICAO is seeking a part-time Air Law Expert for the development of civil aviation. The expert will study existing aviation law, advise on legislation amendments, and provide on-the-job training. Key qualifications include a university degree in law, 10+ years of experience in a civil aviation authority or similar organization, and a good command of oral and written English.
Requirements
- University degree in law with specialization and advanced qualification in air law
- At least 10 years' experience at senior level in a national civil aviation authority legal department, an airline, or similar aviation-related organization
- At least 3 years' experience in drafting legislation for a civil aviation authority in areas of personnel licensing, flight operations approval, and surveillance and continuing airworthiness
- Experience in reviewing detailed regulations relating to personnel licensing, flight operations, and continuing airworthiness
- Familiarity with ICAO Annexes, Conventions, and related acts
- Good command of oral and written English
- Working knowledge of French or another official language of the Organization (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish)
