Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and professional Mid-Stage Mortgage Collector to join our team. This role works directly with borrowers who are 60–89 days past due on their mortgage payments to identify resolution options and prevent further delinquency.
Requirements
- Initiate outbound and receive inbound phone calls from borrowers who are 60–89 days delinquent, negotiating payment arrangements and maintaining a high standard of quality during every call
- Develop and implement customized payment plans to resolve delinquency and prevent accounts from progressing to late stage
- Review borrowers for Home Retention Programs based on loan type and determine eligibility for available assistance options
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDCPA, RESPA, and FCRA, while issuing demand letters and managing required timelines
- Monitor assigned portfolio performance, maintain a downward trend in roll rates, and meet established department goals and standards
