Engineering Intern Electrical/Mechanical

This position will directly work with senior equipment and process engineer(s) building new coating machines and doing new product/process development in the thin film coating department. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in building and wiring vacuum coating machines and doing process development along with machine assembly.

Requirements

• Perform mechanical assembly and wiring of a new coating chamber
• Work with the process development team
• Use of hand tools, shop tools, electrical testing tools as well as spectrophotometers, computers and engineering software
• Light lifting of more than 30ibs will be required on occasion
• A detailed final presentation will be expected at the end of the summer
