Intern - Thermal Design and Simulation

The Saxonburg IR Engineering team is seeking an intern with interest in thermal engineering, heat transfer modeling, and numerical simulation to support the design and optimization of liquid cold plates for AI datacenter chips. The intern will gain hands-on experience creating and refining thermal models, running simulations analyzing results, and collaborating with other engineers to validate predictions.

Requirements

• Mechanical engineering, physics, computer science, or materials science majors will be best suited for this role
• Experience with thermal simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, Creo Simulate, or similar)
• Data analysis and programming experience (MATLAB, Python)
• Strong data analysis and organization skills
• US Citizen or permanent resident
