Test Technician

Test Technician position at Coherent Corp. in Granby, CT, responsible for assembling and testing optical fibers, documenting manufacturing process, inspecting parts, and performing equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• Work per standard operating procedures
• Assemble and test optical fibers
• Document manufacturing process
• Inspect parts/assemblies under microscope
• Perform basic equipment maintenance & calibration
• Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing
• Assist recommending solutions to technical problems
• May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment
• Assist engineers as needed
• Cross-training in other areas as needed
