We are looking for a part-time Peer Support Specialist to join our team in Seaford, Delaware. The Peer Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the recovery process as individuals attempt to navigate behavioral health systems and recovery resources.
Requirements
- Arranging medical appointments, therapy sessions, support groups, and other resources to aid the client
- Monitoring the resident's behavior, schedule, medication, and activities
- Reporting any unusual behavior, conflicts, or recovery deviations to the relevant professionals
- Liaising with family members and medical professionals regularly
- Providing culturally appropriate recovery education and support
- Refer and link clients to appropriate services, clinical and/or medical services as needed
- Collaborating with the resident care team to develop a plan that is individualized for the resident
- Providing care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner
