Job Description
The Nurse Extern provides patient care under the direction of an RN preceptor, assists with direct and indirect care, and maintains a clean and safe environment. The role requires strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse Program approved by the State Board of Nursing
- Must present proof of continued enrollment and passing grade(s) in nursing classes each semester until graduation and be in good academic standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program required
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
