Job Description
The Medical Laboratory Scientist for Transplant Immunology will perform HLA compatibility testing for IUH solid organ programs enabling clinicians to assess organ transplant risk. The laboratories of IU Health offer some of the most comprehensive laboratory services in Indiana!
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences
- One (1) year of relevant experience
- Certification or eligibility for board certification by ASCP; AMT; NCA or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of various complex and lengthy laboratory techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of specialized testing equipment and routine maintenance procedures
- Ability to maintain quality control and other records
- Ability to use computer to enter and retrieve test results
- Analytical skills to make quantitative and qualitative observations
- Ability to work independently; handle constant interruptions and concurrent tasks
- Knowledge of all laboratory safety regulations and protocols
