Job Description
The Medical Laboratory Technician at the LAB assists with laboratory testing on patient specimens. Performs tasks according to standard operating procedures and assists with development and modification of procedures. Requires Bachelor's degree in a related science or Associate Degree in an approved Medical Laboratory Technician Program, with certification in 12 months of employment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related science
- Associate Degree in an approved Medical Laboratory Technician Program
- Certification in 12 months of employment
- Knowledge of various laboratory techniques and procedures
- Working knowledge of laboratory testing equipment and routine maintenance procedures
- Ability to maintain quality control and other records
- Working knowledge of computers
- Knowledge of all laboratory safety regulations and protocols
