Job Description
Indiana University Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to assist with laboratory testing on patient specimens. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related science and knowledge of various laboratory techniques and procedures. This is a full-time, overnight, weekend-only position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related science
- Associate Degree in an approved Medical Laboratory Technician Program or a Medical Laboratory Specialist certification
- Certification (NCA, AMT, ASCP, HEW, and CLA) within 12 months of employment
- Knowledge of various laboratory techniques and procedures
- Working knowledge of laboratory testing equipment and routine maintenance procedures
- Ability to maintain quality control and other records
- Working knowledge of computers
- Knowledge of all laboratory safety regulations and protocols
