Job Description
ICMS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the operations and maintenance of U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Center for Animal Health (NCAH) in Ames, IA. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and controls, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting facility operations. The position requires participation in BSL-3 laboratories and a full-time Monday-Friday schedule.
Requirements
- Install, modify, repair, replace, and maintain electrical systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems
- Troubleshoot, test, and repair equipment
- Maintain lighting and power systems
- Document all work in IBM Maximo CMMS
- Comply with OSHA, EPA, USDA, and facility biosafety policies
- Support emergency response and snow/weather operations
- Work on facility after-hours when approved
- Valid electrician's license/certification
- LincPass (federal ID credential)
