Job Description
Instrumental technology is used by the world’s most admired electronics brands to significantly reduce the $12T caused by downtime and mistakes every year in manufacturing. As a Software Integration Engineer, you will design, implement, and support integrations between customer factory systems, Instrumental’s inspection equipment, and Instrumental’s cloud platform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development, integration engineering, manufacturing software, or related fields.
- Strong Python skills; comfortable with modular code design, type hints, error handling, and logging.
- Experience with MES/SFC systems or industrial/manufacturing data flows.
- Proficient with REST APIs, JSON, authentication patterns, schema alignment, and API debugging.
- Familiar with Linux environments, structured debugging, and networking fundamentals.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
- Able to collaborate across time zones with US-based TPM, CX, and SA teams.
- Experience supporting or interfacing with electronics manufacturing customers is preferred.
