Job Description
IPS is seeking a Technical Sales Representative focused on supporting power distribution equipment resellers, contractors, and NETA service shops in the power generation industry. This inside sales position focuses on generating revenue by soliciting orders, understanding technical requirements, and providing technical information. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong technical acumen, and excels at customer interaction, strong sales execution, and time management.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree from an accredited 2-year technical college preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
- 2+ years power distribution equipment sales experience or 5+ years of technical sales experience in an industrial, production or large component environment
- Working knowledge of industrial mechanical engines, pneumatics, hydraulics, or diesel equipment
- Working knowledge of power systems, power circuit breakers and other switchgear
- Intermediate computer skills including email, internet, data entry and MS Excel
- Experience with CRM: NetSuite a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours
