Job Description
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) will provide diagnostic evaluations and therapy counseling to persons served in the correctional facility, focusing on applying applied psychotherapy. Responsibilities include triaging and conducting intakes, referrals to community resources, and assessing individual needs. This role is collaborative, supporting both the patient and the clinical staff.
Requirements
- Triages and conducts intakes, evaluations, and/or assessments.
- Refer persons to County Mental Health/Emergency Room for evaluation.
- Recommends special housing or observation to security.
- Identifies and conducts treatment services (psychoeducation, art therapy, pre-release counseling etc.).
- Implements treatment plans with medication evaluations and coordination with psychiatrist.
