Job Description
Registered Nurse 2 | ASC | Portland, ME |24-Hour Schedule Responsible for performing the essential tasks of a Registered Nurse in the outpatient surgical setting, including preoperative and postoperative care, intraoperative responsibilities, and additional clinical responsibilities.
Requirements
- ADN or BSN from an accredited institution
- Previous Ambulatory Surgery OR Pre- and Post Op, Circulator, and/or PACU experience preferred
- Unencumbered active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maine
- BLS required
- ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire
- Knowledge of anesthetic techniques (general, regional, local)
- Basic knowledge of all equipment used for patient care in a surgery setting.
- High level of critical thinking and assessment skills
- Experience in continuous quality improvement and/or Lean Six Sigma preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to rapidly changing, sometimes acute patient care needs
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications, and electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
