Registered Nurse 2 | ASC | Portland, ME |24-Hour Schedule

The Registered Nurse 2 position at InterMed is responsible for performing clinical tasks in the outpatient surgical setting, including preoperative and postoperative care. The ideal candidate will have experience in ambulatory surgery, pre- and post-op, circulator, and/or PACU, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• ADN or BSN from an accredited institution
• Previous experience in ambulatory surgery, pre- and post-op, circulator, and/or PACU
• Unencumbered active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maine
• BLS required
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire
• Knowledge of anesthetic techniques (general, regional, local)
• Basic knowledge of all equipment used for patient care in a surgery setting
• High level of critical thinking and assessment skills
• Experience in continuous quality improvement and/or Lean Six Sigma preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to rapidly changing, sometimes acute patient care needs
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications, and electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
