Job Description
The Vice President, Food Safety & Quality is responsible for leading industry-wide efforts for knowledge transfer and root cause analysis, providing technical support and education to industry members, and serving as a subject matter expert on microbiological and chemical hazards. The role requires a strong scientific background and leadership experience in produce safety and quality, with excellent communication and emotional intelligence skills.
Requirements
- D. (or comparable) degree in microbiology, public health, food science, agriculture, or related scientific field with specific course work in food microbiology
- At least 10 years relevant technical and leadership experience in produce safety/quality in industry or regulatory
- Experience leading or contributing to multi-stakeholder projects involving industry, academia, and regulators
