Role Overview

Invitation Homes is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to manage a software development organization made up of multiple engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mix of technical knowledge, leadership, and project planning to ensure that our engineering efforts are well-coordinated, successful, and impactful.

What You Will Do

Understand critical business and organizational strategies to craft a technical roadmap that aligns our systems and engineering teams to implement those strategies. Guide and participate in exploration, design, documentation, and communication around system architecture, APIs, messages, and interfaces to third-party systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years of professional development experience, and 3+ years of recent experience managing or leading an engineering team
• Experience working in agile development environment
• Deep understanding of software and development engineering principles and concepts
• Deep technical skills in one or more of the following areas: JavaScript development, database technologies (e.g. MSSQL, Postgres, DynamoDB), AWS serverless, CI/CD, Salesforce
