Application Support Engineer - Trading Floor

Our client, a leading proprietary trading firm is looking for a Trading Support Engineer to join its high-performing technology team in Hong Kong. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role supporting cutting-edge trading systems across Asian markets.

Requirements

• Own critical incidents by identifying root causes, mitigating impact, and leading post-mortem reviews to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure the seamless operation of distributed, multi-server trading systems.
• Be the go-to expert for traders by providing hands-on trade floor support and direct application assistance.
• Oversee UAT coordination and production software releases to maintain stability and performance.
• Collaborate with Operations and Development teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Design and implement robust monitoring and logging solutions, enhancing system reliability and visibility.
• Automate and optimize workflows, developing scripts and tools to drive operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying gaps and suggesting better processes or tools.
• Engage in occasional after-hours support and testing as required to ensure smooth operations.
