Job Description
Our client, a leading HFT & Market Maker, is seeking a Senior Trading Support Engineer to maintain their trading IT infrastructure, support trading applications, and provide direct assistance to trading teams.
Requirements
- Take ownership of critical incidents by diagnosing root causes, minimizing impact, and leading post-incident reviews to prevent future occurrences.
- Ensure the smooth operation of distributed, multi-server trading systems.
- Serve as the primary expert for traders by offering hands-on support on the trading floor and direct application assistance.
- Manage UAT coordination and software releases in production to maintain stability and performance.
- Collaborate with Operations and Development teams to troubleshoot and resolve intricate production issues.
- Develop and implement effective monitoring and logging solutions to enhance system reliability and visibility.
- Automate and streamline workflows by creating scripts and tools to promote operational excellence.
- Foster continuous improvement by proactively pinpointing gaps and recommending enhanced processes or tools.
- Occasionally provide after-hours support and conduct testing as needed to guarantee smooth operations.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
