The Department of Economics seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics to develop a nationally recognized extension and research program in the economics of agricultural production and technology, with an emphasis on farm management, agricultural and bioenergy policy, and crop marketing.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Economics, Agricultural Economics or related field
- Strong training in microeconomics and quantitative methods
- Strong evidence of research interests in one or more of the following fields: agricultural production, crop management, crop marketing, agricultural and/or bioenergy policy, environmental economics, resource economics, and/or agricultural finance
- Demonstrated ability to communicate economic ideas in public forums
- Demonstrated potential for accomplishment in extension and outreach
- Demonstrated potential for accomplishment in college teaching
- Demonstrated potential for accomplishment in research
