The Department of Economics seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics with research and teaching responsibilities. The successful candidate will develop a nationally recognized extension and research program in the economics of agricultural production and technology with an emphasis on livestock production, supply chains, management, and marketing.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Economics, Agricultural Economics or related field
- Strong training in microeconomics and quantitative methods
- Strong evidence of research interests in one or more of the following fields: agricultural production, livestock management, livestock marketing, agricultural policy linked with livestock, market concentration, resource economics, and/or agricultural finance
- Demonstrated ability to communicate economic ideas in public forums
- Demonstrated potential for accomplishment in extension and outreach
- Demonstrated potential for accomplishment in college teaching
- Demonstrated potential for accomplishment in research
