Fiber Network Locator

IQ Fiber is looking for a Fiber Network Locator to perform skilled, technical field work to locate existing underground fiber optic cables. The role requires accurate and efficient locating of underground facilities, communication with customers and teams, and other related duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of experience in the operation of utility locating equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of a valid Delaware Driver's License.
• Knowledge of underground utility systems, MOT, occupational hazards, and proper safety precautions.
• Ability to use considerable judgment, read and interpret as-builts, and understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to operate personal computer and laptop, and accurately prepare reports and keep records.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and establish effective working relationships with employees and the general public.
• Ability to pass a driving record and background check screening, and have clear driving records for the past two years.
