The Director, Laboratory Services will be responsible for directing, establishing, and planning the overall policies and goals for Island Hospital Laboratory. This includes managing laboratory staff, ensuring quality control and regulatory compliance, and making financial decisions. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical technology, laboratory experience, and supervisory skills.
Requirements
- Advanced education and completion of an approved Medical Technology program
- A minimum of five (5) years of applicable Laboratory experience required
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity
- Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or National Certification Agency (NCA) preferred
- CLIA Regulatory Education requirements to work in a Complex Laboratory
- Certified by the State of Washington as a Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist
- Current Basic Life Support certification
