Job Description
We are actively recruiting for a Sous Chef Pastry position on Viking Ocean Cruises. As the second in command in the Pastry Department, you will assist the Executive Pastry Chef in supervising and managing the onboard Pastry/Bakery Production. You will be responsible for preparing and assisting with set-up of the World Cafe Buffet, providing pastries and baked goods for crew and officers mess, and maintaining immaculate cleanliness standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years old
- A required minimum of 4 years plus experience as a Sous Chef Pastry or similar position, within a 5 Star hospitality and/or restaurant environment
- Fluent in English
- Experience in leading multi-cultural teams
- Flexible, stress resistant, committed team player
- Strong administration skills
- Proficient with PC based databases, spread sheets, and word processing systems
- Guest-focused, service-oriented, positive personality
- Professional appearance and impeccable hygiene standards
- Exceptional work ethic, motivational skills & coaching abilities
