ISO New England is seeking an Energy Market Data Analyst to support the implementation of market power mitigation rules and ensure energy market prices reflect competitive conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience or strong interest in wholesale electricity markets or the electric utility industry.
- Familiarity with electricity and gas market fundamentals and the drivers of production and opportunity costs;
- Strong quantitative analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate market participant strategies from a profit-maximizing perspective
- Proficiency with Excel and programming languages such as SAS, SQL
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively, manage tight deadlines, and communicate technical concepts clearly
