Configuration Technician I

iT1 is seeking a Configuration Technician I to join our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth setup, configuration, and deployment of IT assets. This role is an entry-level position in the IT consulting and managed services world.

Requirements

• Set up and configure computers and peripheral based on the scope of work.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning PCs, Macs, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Perform quality control on projects assigned.
• Respond to order requests and customer emails to assist in troubleshooting issues.
• Image and quality-check laptops, desktops, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
• Perform physical and application configuration of invoice and report printers.
• Install and configure hardware and software on user devices and servers.
• Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and end-user hardware/software issues.
• Bench test refurbished devices such as PCs, monitors, switches, and phones.
• Configure and deploy card readers and other peripheral devices.
• Create and manage user access accounts and permissions.
• Perform server hardware configuration and support deployment readiness.
• Utilize PowerShell to support automation and streamline configuration processes.
• Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Vision deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve printer issues during and after deployments.
• Assist with SCCM collections and software package deployments.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Zebra and Canon printers and peripheral devices.
• Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps accurately.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
