The Assistant Director of Prospect Research supports the prospect research and prospect identification functions within the Division of Advancement. The position partners with fundraising staff to provide research, analysis, and prospect identification services that inform donor strategy throughout the fundraising cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required with 2-4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in prospect development or related field
- Solid understanding of the development cycle and best practices for prospect development
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and both written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively work and interact respectfully within a diverse and inclusive environment
- In-depth knowledge and facility with various databases (Blackbaud RENXT a plus) and Microsoft applications
- Capable of working efficiently and quickly to respond to unanticipated requests when required
- Familiarity with free and paid prospect research and wealth screening tools
- Experience with iWave and Live Alumni a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain constituent records confidentiality
