The Office of New Student and Transition Programs (NSTP) is seeking motivated and dedicated students to serve as Orientation Mentors (OMs). These mentors provide support to new students and families during the Fall Orientation process, participating in events, facilitating discussions, and serving as role models. The role involves event setup, crisis response, and fostering an inclusive campus community.
Requirements
- Completed at least one Orientation program at Ithaca College (OLS)
- Maintain good judicial and academic standing (2.5 GPA, Spring semester)
- Full-time enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student through December 2026
- Adherence to Office of New Student & Transition Program policies and Student Conduct Code
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
- Demonstrated respect for others' rights and diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated multicultural awareness
- Proven work ethic and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to present oneself professionally and confidently
- Ability to manage stress effectively and troubleshoot issues
