Linux Engineer

Linux Engineer intern will work with full-time employees to learn and maintain critical infrastructure, including production trading systems. Projects will be mentored closely by full-time employees and may involve debugging, management tools, or resolving production issues.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable of operating system fundamentals and computer architecture
• Able to understand network protocols at a basic level
• Someone who solves problems by writing code (in any language)
• Intellectually curious, collaborative, and eager to learn
• Humble and unafraid to ask questions and admit mistakes
• A strong communicator
• Experienced with systems programming concepts like C, sockets, virtual memory, and the process life cycle
• Experienced with a modern *nix system
• Intending to start full-time employment in 2027 or 2028
• Fluent in English
