The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting/leading employees in achieving expected safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost targets. The role involves overseeing inspection processes, developing quality standards, and improving the Quality Management System.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field (preferred)
- Previous experience in a quality control/quality assurance position. Prefer 5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing or a quality assurance environment
- Automotive experience a plus
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Must have hands-on experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Computer experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in supplier quality functions
- Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
