Engineering Manager

Role Overview

This role is a blend of technical leadership, client advisory, and team development within the evolving energy interconnection space. You will lead a team of engineers supporting complex transmission and generation interconnection studies, while also guiding clients through regulatory and technical challenges across the SERC region.

What You Will Do

Lead engineering teams and client-facing initiatives focused on interconnection studies, ensuring technical excellence, operational efficiency, and strong stakeholder alignment across all projects. Provide hands-on support in complex interconnection studies and troubleshooting when required.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in the electric energy industry, ideally in transmission planning or interconnection studies
• Strong understanding of power system analysis and tools such as PSS/E, PSLF, TARA, PSCAD, or PowerWorld
• Experience working with interconnection requirements within SERC or similar utility environments
• Proven ability to connect technical depth with commercial and strategic decision-making
• Strong leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and leading technical teams
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment under uncertainty
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
