SR Database Platform Engineer - Indaiatuba/SP

We are redefining the traditional DBA role into a modern Data Platform Engineering function, focused on automation, reliability, cloud-native operations, and scalable patterns for database infrastructure across the company. Our team partners with multiple product and platform squads to provide a robust database platform on AWS, primarily using RDS with PostgreSQL, while also supporting Oracle and SQL Server workloads. Please note that this role is part of a global team.

Requirements

• Design and deliver highly reliable, secure, and automated database environments on AWS
• Provision and operate AWS RDS instances (PostgreSQL primary; Oracle/SQL Server secondary)
• Maintain reusable cloud/database patterns, Terraform modules, and Flyway pipelines
• Plan and execute migrations from Mainframe DB2 (z/OS) to AWS using DMS
• Ensure security, governance, and compliance across database environments
• Collaborate with development teams on SQL tuning, schema design, and troubleshooting
• Build and maintain automations (Terraform pipelines, workflows)
• Produce documentation, architecture patterns, runbooks, and mentor engineers
• Evaluate tools and technologies to maintain platform modernization
