At John Deere, we run so life can leap forward. We are looking for a Tool & Die Maker to join our Waterloo Works team. As a Tool & Die Maker, you will plan, lay out, and construct tools, fixtures, jigs, dies, and gauges requiring high quality workmanship, holding extremely close tolerances. Work will be performed in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have at least one of the following:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
- At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
- Journeyperson's card in Tool & Die Making or an AAS degree in Tool & Die Making or a related field of study, from a post-secondary educational institution or at least 2 years of Tool & Die Making experience (or equivalent Military experience and training).
- Experience laying out and fabricating parts.
- Experience utilizing precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Ability and willingness to work potential overtime (including weekends).
