Job Description
Control Valve Repair Technician - Level 1 (1st or 2nd Shift) repairs control valves, regulators, and relief valves, performs disassembly and assembly, and maintains quality control.
Requirements
- Read, interpret, and respond accordingly to sales order and customer data sheet information
- Safely disassemble and assemble valves and parts
- Maintain material awareness and perform chemical solvent cleaning when needed
- Complete all quality control sheets
- Understand all special requirements needed for the assembly
- Safely and accurately perform some machining processes
- Safely and accurately test control valves according to applicable Code test requirements
- Ability to safely and accurately tube up, calibrate and troubleshoot various pneumatic and digital positioners and controllers
- Perform disassembly and assembly of new regulators and relief valves
- Safely and accurately do spring, orifice, and body changes to various types of regulators and relief valves
