Controls Service Technician

Johnson Controls is a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings. The company is seeking a Controls Service Technician to join their team in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The role involves conducting preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of systems, as well as mentoring control technicians and providing solutions to customers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry and a vocational school program graduate or an associate's degree in a technical field.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry
• Vocational School program graduate or an associate's degree in a technical field
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment
• Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites
• Possesses the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people
• Demonstrate effective writing skills as well as understanding of programs and software applications
• Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems
