HVAC Controls Systems Technician

Performs new installation and service for system commissioning of HVAC systems using Johnson Controls configuration and Metasys building automation tools. Responds to basic warranty calls and provides technical field support to solve building inefficiencies.

Requirements

• Entry level schooling (In school or graduated) or up to 2 years of experience electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field or at least 1-2 years of industry experience
• HVAC controls systems, electrical, facilities management systems, site preparation and coordination, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
• Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people
• Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site
• PC experience required, the ability to learn and program HVAC related software and understanding of general information technology
