The Campus Safety Officer maintains a highly visible professional presence on campus, providing immediate assistance to students, employees, and visitors. Responsibilities include monitoring campus safety, escorting patrons, and responding to emergency calls.
Requirements
- Maintain high visibility on campus locations
- Assist students, staff, and visitors
- Monitor campus for building and patron safety
- Open and close buildings, individual offices, and classrooms
- Escorted patrons to their vehicles
- Make routine patrols of parking areas
- Maintain a working knowledge of all campus facilities and operations
- Monitor ingress and egress of the campus
- Direct traffic as needed
- Serve as a trainer and mentor for new Campus Safety Officers
- Cross train to work dispatch center
- Participate in achieving departmental and college goals and objectives
- Assist in management of public health matters
- Obtain and maintain required certifications
