Job Description
The Sommelier is responsible for assisting, supervising, and supporting the wine program in the restaurant. This role involves wine service, sales, inventory management, menu development, and maintaining wine control. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about Spanish wines and have strong communication and teamwork skills.
Requirements
- Actively perform wine service and manage wine order placement.
- Observe dining and serving areas for cleanliness and proper setup.
- Maintain proper wine storage and condition in the restaurant.
- Train other team members on wine service standards.
- Research new wine products and identify wine shortages.
- Maintain communication with local vendors.
