Job Description
We are looking for a Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team at Pelham Academy, a residential treatment setting for adolescents. The ideal candidate will have a Massachusetts teaching license, knowledge of the needs of the population served, and strong written and oral communication skills.
Requirements
- Massachusetts teaching license
- Massachusetts Moderate Special Education License (preferred)
- Knowledge of the needs of the population served
- Understanding of the range of interventions and treatment required by this population
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Leadership abilities
- Ability to work alone in an unsupervised environment
- Capacity to serve as a responsible, mature, and flexible role model
