Job Description
The Communications Engineer shall manage the complete lifecycle of deployable communications systems, from initial design to ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and certification. The position is responsible for advising leadership on the adequacy of communications services for mission support and performing duties as a COMSEC user.
Requirements
- Provide for Senior Level Communications Engineer support
- Provide Communications Technician support
- Support requirements in planning, development, and assessment of equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain communications systems
- Instruct members of the Department and supported forces how to use fielded communications systems
- Perform duties as COMSEC user responsible for receipt, utilization, loading, maintenance, and destruction of COMSEC keys
