Job Description
Kairos Power is seeking a skilled Senior Mill-Turn Machinist to support precision machining of components in the fluoride-salt-cooled high-temperature reactor (FHR) program. The role involves operating various machining stations and performing shop floor operations, adhering to safety protocols, and contributing to the company's technology initiatives. The position supports critical manufacturing processes and requires a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of relevant machining experience
- Experience with rigging, material movement, and setup of large machined parts
- Reading and interpreting engineering and assembly drawings
- Proficient programming with CAM software (Mastercam preferred)
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to adapt machining processes between different jobs and complexities of parts
