Job Description
The Upstream Manufacturing Manager is responsible for executing mammalian cell culture processes and producing recombinant proteins, ensuring adherence to cGMP standards. The role involves batching, troubleshooting, and maintaining manufacturing facilities, requiring technical expertise in bioreactors and cell biology. This is a hands-on position requiring team collaboration and independent execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or biochemical sciences
- 10+ years of related experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
- Expertise in upstream process (cell expansion, harvest procedures)
- Strong fundamental knowledge of engineering and clinical batches
- GMP knowledge
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills
