Job Description
The Upstream Manufacturing Scientist is responsible for executing mammalian cell culture processes and producing recombinant proteins for biosimilars. The role involves batch engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and collaboration within a cGMP environment. They work on cell culture batch sizes ranging from 50 L to 1000 L and clinical batches.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in chemical, biological, or biochemical sciences
- Minimum of 3+ years of related experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
- Experience conducting and directing process development
- GMP and aseptic manufacturing experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer and organization skills
- Knowledgeable in GMP batch manufacturing and packaging documentation
- Knowledgeable in cleaning verification/validation
