DG BOSS: Crane Rigger (FN)

Performs rigging works in preparation to crane lift, including rigging planning, load evaluation and calculations, and signaling crane operator. Utilizes forklift trucks or dolly for movement, loading, unloading of supplies, material, heavy or cumbersome objects or equipment.

Requirements

• Familiar with all types of wire ropes, fibrous ropes, rigging and tools, hoists and equipment.
• Knowledge in different types/classes and uses of rigging tools and equipment.
• Must speak, read, and understand English language, both orally and in writing.
• Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
• Trained and certified in NAVFAC P-307 and related specialized certification as Rigger is preferred.
• High School graduate coupled with the completion of an apprenticeship in crane and rigging operation.
• Minimum of three (3) years as rigger, experience in areas of both heavy material equipment handling and rope splicing both fibrous and wire.
