Metrology Technician II

The KBR Metrology team supports manufacturing, engineering & test, repair & overhaul, and aftermarket service centers globally in support of Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Medical, Safety, Semiconductor and other industries. Metrology Technician II is responsible for performing routine calibrations, tests and/or inspections in-lab or on-site using accredited standards and taking care of the day-to-day escalations and priority requests.

Requirements

• Perform calibration and certification of electronic and physical/dimensional measuring and test equipment according to technical specifications, ensuring traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
• Calibrate and repair equipment such as Multimeters, frequency counter, timers, oscilloscopes, dimensional hand tools, blueprint-controlled devices and fixtures, pressure devices, Thermo-hygrometers, scales, load cells, force devices, and weights.
• Calibrate standards used in calibrations and maintain equipment to established performance standards.
• Record maintenance activities in CMS, generate reports on results of tests, conditions of equipment and/or systems, repairs, and preventive maintenance performed, and prepare necessary documentation as required by customer and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize common laboratory measuring, calibrating, and test equipment.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
